Remy Kawkabani

Remy Kawkabani has over 25 year experience in the Private Equity and Investment Banking industry.

Remy Kawkabani is a Managing Director and Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Siguler Guff. Based in London, Mr. Kawkabani leads Siguler Guff’s European business, with a primary focus on distribution and new product development in the EMEA region. Mr. Kawkabani has over 20 years of private equity experience and is a leader in the private equity placement industry, specializing in the EMEA region.

Prior to joining Siguler Guff in 2014, Mr. Kawkabani held several senior positions at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for the origination, structuring and successful launch of innovative funds. Most recently, Mr. Kawkabani served as a Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management for the EMEA region. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of the Credit Suisse Private Fund Group, where he oversaw origination, project management and distribution in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to his 15-year tenure at Credit Suisse, Mr. Kawkabani worked at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. While at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, Mr. Kawkabani enjoyed particular success in the identification and funding of new and emerging private equity teams and strategies.

Mr. Kawkabani holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is CFA charterholder. He was named by Private Equity International as one of the 100 most influential people in global private equity during the ten-year period from 2001 to 2011.
