Phoenix
Overview
Phoenix is the European leader in design and manufacturing of aluminium extrusion dies, with focus on complex and technologically advanced dies. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Verdello (Bergamo, Italy), Phoenix operates out of 10 production plants across Europe, the US and Middle East and its . dies serve transportation (highway, off-highway, railway, aircraft), construction (window frames, facades, curtain walls), and industrial sectors. All design work is carried out in-house by a dedicated engineering team at a centralized design centre.
Ambienta’s investment was designed to leverage Phoenix’s strong European position and expand both organically and through M&A, building a global leader in aluminium extrusion solutions.
Phoenix has completed three add‑on acquisitions and continues to pursue geographic expansion and strategic acquisitions to consolidate market share and serve advanced extrusion segments worldwide.

Environmental Thesis
Aluminium is the fastest-growing base metal and a key material for the transition to sustainability. Its recyclability, lightweight properties, and durability make it a long-term solution for energy-efficient applications. In transportation, including automotive, railway, and aerospace, aluminium reduces weight and emissions. For example, 1 kg of aluminium can replace up to 2 kg of steel in vehicles, generating significant energy savings and CO₂ reduction. Adoption is also rising in construction and industrial sectors due to its high strength-to-weight ratio. As a leader in aluminium extrusion, Phoenix International supports this shift by developing solutions to meet growing demand across industries and applications.
