Ambienta’s investment thesis is underpinned by Previero’s role as a critical enabler of the transition toward a circular plastics economy - an evolution that remains at an early stage, with only 15% of global plastic waste currently recycled, making Previero an ideal fit to Ambienta’s strategy.
Founded in 1922 and based in Anzano del Parco (Como, Italy), the company focuses on R&D, engineering, and assembly of plastics recycling machinery and employs c. 100 people. It is among the few players able to provide turnkey solutions covering the entire pre-processing phase (“from bale to flake”) and handling all major feedstock types, including PET, films, and HDPE. Previero offers an integrated value proposition tailored to the growing demand from global recyclers for technology partners able to design and commission complete recycling lines.
Our investment is transforming the company from an entrepreneurial firm into a scalable, managerial organisation, unlocking organic growth by leveraging the transition toward plastic circularity and a disciplined buy-and-build approach. As at the end of 2025, the company has completed 1 add-on.
