Joel Bird

Joel is Chief Risk Officer for Ambienta X, and is based in London. He joined Ambienta in 2019.

Prior to Ambienta, Joel was Head of Investment Risk at Man Group from 2011.  He has previously held positions as senior risk manager and derivatives trader at Centaurus Capital, risk manager of alternative investment funds at Nomura, and quantitative analyst at Barclays Capital.

He holds a BSc in Mathematics and MSc in Operational Research from the University of Southampton, and a PhD in Quantitative Finance from Imperial College.
