Cap Vert

Environmental Thesis

Green space management is intrinsically linked to sustainability. Urban green areas are pillars in pollution control through the optimization of carbon capture and the support of biodiversity.
Addressing CO2 balance and biodiversity in urban areas in Europe is important because c.70% of CO2 emissions are produced in cities and 75% of European citizens live in urban areas (85% by 2050).
The sustainable development of cities and improvement of green urban areas is a focus of EU regulators, being critical to achieving the Green Deal goal of 2050 climate neutrality.
Cap Vert activities result in a lower mortality rate and optimized growth for the green urban areas trees, which can lead to carbon capture improvement of up to 70% compared to standard mature trees, and also support biodiversity preservations of flora and fauna.

Business

Founded in 1984 and headquartered in the Paris region, Cap Vert is a multiservice provider with strong expertise in pruning. It is active in the creation and maintenance of green urban areas that include watering and fountain works, as well as alternative eco-friendly preventive and curative treatments. Cap Vert works mainly with public authorities – most of the time under multi-year contracts for pruning services or maintenance of green spaces – and is recognized as a benchmark player in this segment.

With the support of Ambienta, the Group pursues its geographical expansion in France, further developing existing activities in which it is well positioned, while addressing adjacent activities through add-ons. In March 2022, Cap Vert completed the acquisition of Createck – Négoplantes, reinforcing the offer towards private customers in Southwest of France (Bordeaux region), while vertically integrating plant sourcing and improving plant purchasing conditions. In May 2022, it completed the acquisition of Caussat, expanding its offer towards creation of green spaces in South of France (Toulouse region) where it only proposed pruning activity so far. In July 2022, Cap Vert completed the acquisition of Duc & Préneuf, providing the group with a base in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, where it can now count on a local leader in green space creation that will serve as a regional hub for expanding the Group’s other activities in the area. The same month, it completed the acquisition of Environnement 41, strengthening its range of environmental services with the addition of expertise in the ecological engineering of natural and sensitive habitats.

In October 2022, Cap Vert acquired Vidale, a specialist in all types of forestry work including skidding, pruning, felling and crushing of dangerous forest trees. In April 2023, Cap Vert acquired Elag Conseil 33, a company specialized in pruning that had been working closely with Cap Vert for decades as a subcontractor, and will further reinforce Cap Vert’s pruning business in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
